How we got here
Plumber Down Under was started in 2010 by Joey Walsh, a master plumber who got tired of watching Austin homeowners get burned by hourly rates, vague “diagnostic fees,” and salespeople in plumber’s clothing. The pitch was simple: real licensed plumbers, flat rates, on time, every time. 15+ years and a few thousand happy neighbors later, the pitch hasn’t changed.
What we believe
A plumber should be the easiest tradesman you ever hire. We answer the phone in person, we show up in the window we promised, we walk you through the fix before we touch a wrench, and we leave the place cleaner than we found it. If we make a mistake, we own it on the spot. That’s it. That’s the playbook.
Who works on your home
Every technician on our crew is a licensed TX plumber, background-checked, drug-tested, and trained on the latest code (TX Plumbing Code, IPC 2021). We don’t use subcontractors. The truck that pulls up to your house is ours, and the person who steps out of it is on our payroll.
